Applications will be accepted during the open enrollment period. Applications are due February 17, 2017
Should we have more applicants than seats available as of midnight on Feb. 17th, we will hold a random lottery process to place students within the school. In order to ensure students receiving the Pathways High diploma are representative of the Pathways High experience, there are limits set on acceptance numbers. For the 2017-2018 school year 120 students will be accepted.
For 2018-2019 and subsequent years, Pathways High will publicly announce the number of open seats for each grade level, accepting no more than 120 in grade 9, and filling seats in grade 10 to a maximum of 100. For grade 11, Pathways High requires a commitment from incoming students to participate in the grade 13 IMPACT Year and will accept no more than 100 students. Grade 12 will only accept applicants committed to an IMPACT Year and applying under extreme circumstances. By requiring the additional year, Pathways High has time to provide the student with sufficient experiences to adapt to the Pathways High model of education.
Once students are enrolled into the school, the following processes will occur:
Individual Meet & Greets with students and their parents/guardians.
Students and their parents/guardians will be requested to attend a school orientation. At the orientation, we will explicitly discuss the school culture, instructional model, expectations for timeliness, homework, etc. and give families a realistic sense of what it will be like for their child to attend Pathways High. In addition, the orientation will serve as an opportunity for parents to address any questions or concerns they may have.
This orientation will also include the collection of enrollment forms that will be provided at individual meet and greets. All forms must be completed in order for a student to be considered fully enrolled at Pathways High.
Pathways High will abide by all legal admission policies outlined in Wisconsin Statutes 118.40(4)(A)(B). The school will be nonsectarian in its programs, admissions policies, employment practices and all other operations, will not charge tuition, and will not discriminate in admission or deny participation in any program or activity on the basis of a person’s sex, race, religion, national origin, ancestry, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability.
