What are the benefits of Pathways High? In a diverse environment, students gain both academic content and life skill mastery to prepare them for success in college, career and life.
How much does it cost to attend Pathways High? Pathways high is a FREE public high school.
How is education personalized? Every student has a personalized learning plan that incorporates their identified strengths and stretches. Projects are designed and structured by teachers to deliver content in a context meaningful to students.
How do grades work? All projects are developed to map to and be assessed by state standards. Our projects will provide content equivalent to subject standards in order to provide comparable transcripts. Teachers will evaluate work and ascribe letter grades as determined by rubrics.
Are there admission requirements? The application must be turned in by the due date.
Are there any restrictions on residency? Pathways High accepts students from the entire Milwaukee region, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha counties.
How does the lottery work? If Pathways High receives more applicants than seats by the due date, Pathways High will hold a lottery to fill classes as well as establish a wait list.
How is Pathways High funded? Like all charter schools, Pathways High receives the per pupil allotment from the state. Additional funding will be pursued through grants, foundations and private donations.
Do you offer dual enrollment opportunities? Yes.
Do charter schools take state tests? ACT? Pathways High will comply with all state mandated testing, including the ASPIRE and ACT.
Is transportation provided? We are investigating transportation options.
Can I tour your school? Yes, school open houses will be offered in the spring of 2017.
