Hello PH families,
As we all know, our region is navigating a crisis response to the coronavirus pandemic, with aggressive social distancing policies intended to “flatten the curve” by slowing the spread of the virus and keeping our region’s health care system from being overwhelmed with a spike in critical patients. Eventually, we will move past the crisis phase and toward a recovery phase. This is true for all industries, including education. We are planning right now for the crisis and appreciate all you are doing to ensure your kids are engaged with the learning we are working to provide. We want you to know we will monitor the “pulse” of our PH community and make adjustments as necessary. PH is also planning for the recovery stage that will eventually come. Please know we are looking ahead to make sure all students will be prepared for graduation whether that is this year or in 3 years.
Below are the updates for the upcoming the week:
Beginning next week PH communication will change a bit. Administration will only be sending Sunday updates. Most of your emails and communication will now come from your student’s seminar and advisory teacher. We are doing this to ensure you are not inundated with communication and can focus on your child’s progress. However, please know you are able to reach out to any of us at any time.
Monday is the start of quarter 4. Each child will meet with their seminar teacher virtually to talk through the seminar and personalize standards to ensure the seminar meets their needs. We have intentionally placed students in just one seminar to ensure they are not over extended with expectations and to streamline communication. We are keenly aware of how stressful this time is for students, teachers and families and want to provide as much focused support as possible.
Finally, we continue to post things on our Facebook page. Please look for updates but also link to our virtual town halls that celebrate students while learning virtually. https://www.facebook.com/pathwayshighmke
Thank you for your continued support,
