Daily Schedule at Pathways High
Pathways High is a Project-Based High School with consistent class periods every day. The required school hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. We work on a trimester system, with three trimesters in a school year. To learn more about our daily structures, click on each topic below.
Students work at their own pace in mixed-grade interdisciplinary, hands-on learning seminars allowing them to pursue credit across multiple standards in multiple topics concurrently.
Students are organized into Advisory groups, each led by a teacher and composed of mixed grade levels to foster both EMPOWER skill development and relationship-building. Advisory sessions are held once daily to support students in meeting their individual goals and graduation credit/requirements.
GLD or Grade Level Development courses are designed to create time and space for students' unique needs at varying ages. From social and emotional development to project management in underclass years to Defense development and career planning for upperclassmen, this time goes beyond academics to support age-appropriate life skills.
A block of time twice per week that is focused on student interests and allow students to work toward practicing at least one standard at a time.
On Wednesdays all high school students meet to hear information updates from faculty and community members.
